PearlsForGood smArt car If you live in the Chicago area, you may have seen the PearlsForGood smArt car driving around. I love my little black smartie, and decided to dress it up a bit with some custom art. The design is called Frogs Alive! and is inspired by Aboriginal dot art depicting nature. I chose to picture frogs, and a few dragonflies, because frogs are an indicator species of a healthy environment. I started working on Frogs Alive! in June 2009 and finished the last panel in November, applying each dot by hand. It truly was a labor of love, and a meditative, therapeutic process.
